DESCRIPTION:Join Your Local Greens in Surrey as we host a community meal for the residents of New Hope Community Services Society. This is a wonderful opportunity to support newcomer refugee families\, build community connections\, and spend an evening sharing food and conversation together.\nNew Hope Community Services Society has been supporting newcomer refugees since 2004 through housing and settlement services. They own and operate a 13-unit apartment building in Surrey and help refugees transition into life in Canada. \nWe’re looking for volunteers to help prepare salads\, desserts\, and drinks for approximately 20 adults and 20 children. Volunteers will also sit and share a meal with residents as we build stronger connections across our communities. \nThese dinners are a time of fellowship and community-building\, bringing people together through food\, conversation\, and shared experiences.
