VICTORIA B.C. – Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party, sent his best wishes to those celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
“I wish all members of the Hindu, Jain, Sikh and Buddhist communities across B.C. and around the world a very happy Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas,” said Weaver.
“The Festival of Lights is a time to celebrate the triumph of the brightest parts of our society – knowledge over ignorance, hope over fear and light over darkness. It is also a time to contemplate the importance of service to others. In B.C., let it also be a time to celebrate the vibrant diversity of our province.”
