Lək̓ʔəŋən [LEKWUNGEN] TERRITORY / VICTORIA, B.C. — Leader of the BC Greens and candidate for Saanich North and the Islands Emily Lowan released the BC Greens full, costed platform today.
“This is not the time to hunker down, and repeat the mistakes of the past fifty years that have brought us to this point of crisis. Now is the time for hope and vision,” said Lowan. “That’s why this platform offers a transformative vision of what our province could be. A province where everyone, from children to seniors are given the care they deserve. Where working people don’t have to shell out half of their paycheque for rent. Where you can build a dignified life and know that when there’s an economic shock or climate disaster, the BC Greens will have your back.”
The platform covers topics from energy to arts and culture, labour to watersheds. It is comprehensive and fully costed, while presenting an ambitious, bold vision for a better BC.
Lowan added, “I am deeply proud of the work this party has done, and so excited to share this platform with British Columbians who are ready for better.”
