Lək̓ʔəŋən [LEKWUNGEN] TERRITORY / VICTORIA, B.C. — In response to the BC NDP’s announcement on free transit for low-income seniors, the BC Greens released the following statement:
We’re glad to see the NDP following the BC Greens’ lead on free transit for seniors, a week after we announced it. But dropping a $45 fee for low-income seniors only goes part of the way. The BC Greens will make transit free for every senior and every person under 25, the first step to making transit free for everyone.
