One might think that with enormous wealth come enormous tax payments, but this is not the case today: the super-rich pay much less tax than the rest of the population. The most effective way to address this issue is with a wealth tax. This excellent proposal for British Columbia is not radical — what’s radical is to accept the status quo where the super-rich can live tax free in their own parallel society.”
