Find the information you need to register, choose when and where to vote, request a vote-by-mail package, and confirm your electoral district.

Voting is now open!

Advance voting runs October 16 to 21, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at any advance voting place in B.C. You don’t need a reason to vote early, and if you’re not registered, you can register when you vote.

Advance voting

There will be six days of advance voting: October 16–21 | 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.

Advance voting is a convenient option for all voters. You don’t need a reason to vote in advance, and voters can vote at any advance voting location.

Final voting: Election Day

October 24 | 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific time

Voters have an assigned voting place on Final Voting Day. Your assigned voting place will be listed on your Where to Vote card.

Vote at a district electoral office

From when offices open until 4 p.m. Pacific time on October 24.

You can vote at any district electoral office once it is open.

Hours of operation

  • Monday–Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Advance voting days: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Closed Wednesday, September 30 for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
  • Closed Monday, October 12 for Thanksgiving.

Vote by mail

Voting by mail is a good option for voters who will be away during advance voting or on Final Voting Day.

Request a vote-by-mail package as soon as possible to make sure you can receive and return it on time.

The last day to request a vote-by-mail package online or by phone is October 18.

Returning your vote-by-mail package

Voters can request a vote-by-mail package online or by calling Elections BC at 1-800-661-8683.

Your vote-by-mail package will be mailed to you. Elections BC must receive your completed vote-by-mail package by 8 p.m. Pacific time on October 24.

Completed packages can be returned by mail or dropped off at any district electoral office or voting place.
