Christine Kinnie

Surrey-White Rock

“I’m running to be your MLA because I believe elected representatives should work for their constituents.”

Christine Kinnie is a public-service worker, community volunteer and longtime Surrey-White Rock resident with deep family roots in the area. Her great-grandparents lived on a small farm in Ocean Park, and her family has called the community home for generations.

Christine currently works as a secondary school secretary, supporting students, families, educators and staff in a busy inner-city school. Through this work, she has seen firsthand how affordability, housing insecurity and access to essential services affect families and young people.

She returned to post-secondary education as a mature student and recently earned a Diploma in General Studies from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, graduating with a 4.15 GPA. She is continuing her education with the goal of attending law school and has a particular interest in human rights, constitutional law, Indigenous land rights and Canadian democracy.

Christine is also active in her community. She serves as a Lay Chaplain and Service Leader with the South Fraser Unitarians and has participated in community organizing, political events, fundraising and initiatives supporting local organizations.

In 2025, Christine ran as the Green Party of Canada candidate for South Surrey-White Rock in the federal election, gaining experience speaking with voters, listening to community concerns and participating in public advocacy.

Christine is passionate about democratic reform, proportional representation, economic fairness and environmental stewardship. She believes effective leadership starts with listening, treating people with respect and ensuring communities have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect them.

Christine is running in Surrey-White Rock to bring her experience in public service, education, community volunteering and advocacy to the Legislature and to work for a government that serves the broader public interest.
