“I believe in government that listens to its constituents, builds sustainable policy, and improves the well-being of the overall community.”

Luc Burns is a materials engineer, union job steward, and quality assurance professional who works in Richmond. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Materials Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and he has built a career on finding the root cause of a problem, addressing it, and reusing as much material as possible in the process. He has five years of experience in quality assurance and manufacturing.

As a Union Job Steward, Luc represents his coworkers in collective bargaining and in resolving workplace concerns. He has also sat on his workplace’s Joint Health and Safety Committee, helping keep colleagues safe, and holds an Occupational First Aid certificate.

Invested in the wellbeing of the community he lives in, Luc is Secretary of his Strata Council, where he helps with planning, financial decisions, and the ongoing maintenance that keeps a multi-household community running smoothly.

Ecologically conscious, Luc typically transits to work and recycles as much as possible. He and his fiancée share an electric vehicle and are owners of two adorable pets, a cat and a dog.

Luc believes in government that listens to its constituents, builds sustainable policy, and improves the well-being of the overall community. He brings a strong head for numbers, a passion for uplifting his community, and the drive to help shape policy that makes everyday life more affordable for the people of Richmond-Queensborough.
