Saturday February 28 | Province-Wide | Coldest Night of the Year

February 28

The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a nationwide fundraising walk held annually in February across Canada. It’s a family-friendly event designed to raise awareness and money for local charities that support people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hurt.

The name highlights the reality that many people in Canada face extreme winter conditions without adequate shelter or support. By walking in the cold, participants get a small glimpse into what it feels like, while directly raising money for local charities that provide programs, food, shelter, housing, and/or support. Each walk is hosted by a specific partner charity in that city or town.

The BC Greens have participated for the last several years with multiple teams around the province. If you do not see a team listed for your area, or know of a team that’s not listed, please email us at organize@bcgreens.ca.

If you have any questions, please email organize@bcgreens.ca.
